Pinnotheres bidentatus

Sakai, 1939

The carapace is rounded quadrilateral, the lateral borders slightly divergent backward in female but rather parallel in male. Postero-lateral borders are more transverse than oblique and the posterior border weakly convex. Front somewhat produced and is less deflexed in both sexes, the eyes are also of good size. The dactylus of the external maxillipeds slender and much exceeding the tip of propodus.
The movable finger of chelipeds has two teeth on the cutting edge, one proximal and the other subdistal, the tip of this segment is extremely curved inwards; the immovable finger has four or five denticles near the base. The three anterior pairs of ambulatory legs are subequal in length, the last pair markedly small. Anterior and posterior borders of all pairs are sparingly fringed with longish hairs, but the carpus is not obliquely traversed by a row of such hairs. (Sakai, 1976)
