Carapace covered with pubescent setae and short brushy hairs. Frontal breadth somewhat more than one-third the breadth of the carapace, the anterior margin armed with spiniform granules and cut into 2 lobes by a V-shaped median notch, each lobe with a spine at the outer side. Dorsal margin of the orbit granulated, ventral margin with 9 serrations, of which the innermost one the most prominent. Antero-lateral margin armed with 4 teeth, including the outer tooth of the orbit: the first one acutely spiniform, the second and third teeth triangular and subequal, the last one smaller and sharper.
Chelipeds asymmetrical. Merus of major chelipeds serrated along the dorsal margin. Carpus with irregular acute teeth. Palm with 2 rows of teeth on the dorsal surface, and 4 rows of teeth on the outer surface with some denticles among the teeth, irregular in arrangement. The movable finger with 2 rows of spines on both the dorsal and the ventral surface. Ambulatory legs slender and longer. Merus of the first pair armed with 7-8 serrations along the anterior margin, the other pairs have less and they are smaller.
Male abdomen narrow and long, 7-segmented; telson with the distal margin produced in the middle. Carapace length 6 mm, breadth 8.0 mm. (Dai & Yang, 1991)
