Latreille, 1825

Dorsal surface of carapace, on denudation, is roughened by sparingly distributed granules or pits and the regions fairly well demarcated. The entire animal is covered with a coat of long yellowish hairs but the outline of carapace and appendages is perceptible in natural condition. The external orbital tooth ahs no accessory tooth. Carapace more than three fourths as long as broad, antero-lateral borders are not much shorter than postero-lateral, ambulatory legs have the merus very broad but not spinulated. The teeth on antero-lateral borders and also on fingers are longer and stronger; hairs are uniformly distributed on carapace and chelipeds. (T. Sakai, 1976)
