Phymodius granulosus

(de Man, 1887)

The lobules of the dorsal surface of carapace are well sculptured and covered with fine granules but not with hairs; 2M is completely divided into two lobules, each of which bears two protuberances. 1M, 2M, 3L, 4L, 5L, 1R are respectively mounted with a granulated protuberance. Of the four antero-lateral teeth, the first is obtuse and on a lower level, the others are very acuminate and curved at tip. Front deeply separated into two lobes, each of which has a large lateral protuberance; the anterior angle of supraorbital margin is well produced.
Arm bears five or six spinules in two rows on the superior border, its inner lower border has two spinules; wrist and palm with beaded tubercles, of which those on the outer surface of palm are arranged in longitudinal series. Ambulatory legs are covered with fine granules; the anterior border of merus with seven to eight acuminate spines; carpus and propodus are furnished with longitudinal rows of spinules interspersed with hairs.
