Etisus rhynchophorus

(A. Milne Edwards, 1873)

Closely resembles Etisus anaglyptus, but the anterior and antero-lateral surfaces of carapace are covered with transverse ridges of fine granules or with studded granules. Of the four antero-lateral teeth, the posterior two are very acuminate and extremely curved forwards at tip and their bases furnished with sharp granules. The external orbital angle is large and hemispherical in shape, and its surface glabrous. The frontal lobes are straight and furnished with hairs, each lobe is ventrally concave. Arm, wrist, and palm are thickly covered with granules, the inner angle of wrist bears a single curved spine instead of two of the former species. (T. Sakai, 1939: 499)
