Carapace circular in outline, narrow, its width not exceeding 1.25 times the length. Dorsal surface of carapace and chelipeds furnished with granules, similar and subequal, sometimes squamiform but never coalescent. Antero-lateral margins of the carapace regularly convex and divided into four lobes, hardly indicated or projecting. No projection at the junction of the antero-lateral and postero-lateral margins of the carapace. Frontal margin sinuous, not projecting and with convex submedian lobes. P5 with carpus and propodus broad, foliaceous. (Guinot 1998)
