Carapace only with epibranchial ridge, this last one interrupted medially; front 4-lobed; median frontal lobes much broader than laterals; 4 antero-lateral teeth, third rudimentary to reduced. Basal antennal joint with short smooth curved crest. Upper surface of cheliped palm with one median spine and 3 blunt tubercles near distal end of posterior border, similar tubercles also on anterior border; inner face smooth. Posterior border of propodus of swimming leg with 4-10 sharp spines. Male first pleopod very stout, only slightly curved, tip ending obliquely and abruptly; inner surface with 6-7 terminal spiniform bristles; outer surface with 12-15 terminal bristles.
