Carapace about 0.75 times as long as broad, covered with a fine dense pile, except on transverse granulated ridges, those clear on the proto- and mesogastric regions, epibranchials interrupted medially, behind this a cardiac ridge, 3 mesobranchials, and a post-cardiac, clusters of granules on the frontal region and near to the antero-lateral teeth; front protruding, with 6 triangular and acute teeth, median ones more advanced than laterals; antero-lateral borders with 5 sharp subequal teeth, first the stoutest. Chelipeds about 2.5 times as long as carapace in male, 2.2 times in female; merus with 3-4 teeth on anterior border, posterior with a distal spine; carpus with an inner and 2 outer subdistal spines. Swimming legs with posterior border of merus armed with 2 spines; greater part of posterior margin of propodus armed with small stout denticles. (Türkay 1995)

(Stephenson, 1976), Nuku Hiva (Poupin, 1996a); Society Islands - Bora-Bora (Poupin, 1996a); Tubuai Islands - Maria and Rurutu (Poupin, 1996a); 80-110 m.
