Cancer japonicus

Ortmann, 1893

Carapace about 1.5 times as broad as long, covered with pavement of fine microscopic granules; gastric, cardiac, and branchial regions markedly convex; front composed of three obtuse teeth which are not much unequal in size; antero-lateral borders extremely arched and cut into 12 teeth, which are low triangular in shape and are basally fused with each other. Carpus of chelipeds with inner angle produced into a sharp tooth, dorsal surface with a few projections; palm with three spinules along upper border and several processes on outer face.
