Ethusa quadrata

Small species, carapace length up to 5.5 mm. Carapace longer than broad, its surface only granular on top of the gastric regions; exorbital teeth thin and sharp, their tips laterally directed, not nearly at the level of base of frontal teeth; front quadridentate. Male adult chelipeds unequal, fingers of large chelae without teeth. Second and third pereiopods naked. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: between Ito and Hatsushima, west of Sagami Bay, Japan, 80 m.
Range: Japan - Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1937a, 1965, 1976), Tsushima Strait (Takeda, 1973c), Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1976a), Nanki Susami (Miyake, 1983), Suruga Bay (Takeda, 1997); East China Sea (Takeda & Miyake, 1970, 1972, Chen, 1986c); South China Sea; Philippines - north of Lubang Island (Serène & Vadon, 1981, Chen, 1986); 35-209 m.
