Ethusa izuensis

Sakai, 1937

Medium sized species, carapace length up to 11 mm. Carapace longer than broad, its surface covered with granules and pubescence; exorbital teeth broadly triangular, anteriorly directed, reaching to middle of frontal teeth; front quadridentate. Male adult chelipeds equal, fingers of large chelae with teeth. Second and third pereiopods pubescent. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: between Ito and Hatsushima, Sagami Bay, Japan.
Range: Japan - Sagami Bay and Shimoda (Sakai, 1937a), Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b), Tsushima Strait (Takeda, 1973c), Sagami Bay and Izu Peninsula (Sakai, 1976a), Kushimoto (Miyake, 1983); East China Sea (Takeda & Miyake, 1972c, Chen, 1986c); South China Sea; Philippines - near Lubang Island (Serène & Vadon, 1981), north of Lubang Island and Verde Island Passage (Chen, 1986), north of Lubang (Chen, 1993); New Caledonia (Chen, 1993); 30-350 m.
