Most surface spines of carapace of similar size; pseudorostral spines having a bifid appearance due to the fact that the subdistal and distal spine are equally long. Upper border of merus of second to fourth ambulatory legs with three spines, distal spine of similar size. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Ile des Pins, New Caledonia, 22°49'S, 167°12'E, 400 m.
Range: ? Japan - Wakayama (Nagai, 1991); New Caledonia (Guinot & Richer de Forges, 1981b, 1995); 390-650 m.
