Type locality: Mediterranean - incorrect locality (Sakai K., 1999).
Range: Sri Lanka; Andaman Islands - Port Blair (Alcock, 1901); Gulf of Thailand (Serène & Lohavanijaya, 1973); Taiwan; west coast of New Guinea (Ihle, 1913).
