Genus Tritodynamia

Ortmann, 1894

Carapace very broad, roughly hexagonal. Outer margins of the facets defined on postero-lateral portions of the carapace more or less divergent backwards. Front more or less deflexed. Presence of an infraorbital ridge. Third maxillipeds widely distant; ischium and merus separate; ischium shorter than the merus; dactylus jointed at the inner end of the propodus, flattened and large. Chelipeds rather stout, margins setose. Ambulatory legs: P2 and P3 the longest and with their meri extremely broadened and stout; P4 relatively small and slender; P5 very reduced in size; margins of P4 and P5 notably setose. (Guinot 1998)
