Genus Homoioplax

Antero-lateral margins armed with three teeth. Front square-cut. Eyestalks thick. Cornea swollen. Eyestalks very short and thick. Antennules folded quite transversely. Epistome short but distinct. Buccal cavern with the lateral borders conspicuously convergent backwards. Third maxillipeds greatly divergent forward, slender; merus quadrate, its antero-external angle quadrangular, not prominent. Chelipeds subequal, of moderate length, much stronger than the legs, granulate at outer surface. Ambulatory legs extremely slender and thin. Male abdomen relatively narrow at its base, not covering the sternum between the bases of the last ambulatory legs. (Guinot 1998)
