Carapace circular in outline. Margins not expanded. Infraorbital lobe low and obtuse. Anterior boundary of pterygostomial region cut into two rounded, obtuse lobes. Buccal cavern narrowly triangular. Third maxillipeds: merus longer than half the length of ischium; exopodite not broadened, with outer margin not arched. Chelipeds slender; palm not swollen; fingers depressed; dactylus almost as long as palm. (Guinot 1998)
