Grapsus intermedius

Carapace rough, not naked; swollen; lateral margins parallel; strong vertical tubercles on hepatic region; a straight repeatedly interrupted long ridge on extreme anterior portion of branchial region just below cervical groove; front wide. Interantennular septum rugose. Epistome rugose, not sunken transversely; epistomial ridge slightly tuberculate. External surface of palm of cheliped rough with two distinct ridges. Sternite belonging to the chelipeds coloured white or greyish white. Ambulatory legs even in small specimens stout. (Davie 1997)

Type locality: Noordwachter Island, Indonesia.
Range: Taiwan; Indonesia - Noordwachter Island (de Man, 1888d), Paternoster Island (Crosnier, 1965).
