(H. Milne Edwards, 1834)
Carapace transversely subovate, very slightly convex fore and aft but almost flat from side to side. The regions are very shallowly defined; the surface near the frontal and antero-lateral borders is covered with fine granules, otherwise the entire surface is almost smooth. The front subtruncate in dorsal aspect but composed of four low protuberances in front view, all projecting rather downward; antero-lateral borders are divided into four lobes, the last of which is somewhat tooth-shaped. Chelipeds are very unequal, each segment smooth and the fingers very slender and long; in the minor cheliped, they are much longer than the palm. (T. Sakai, 1939: 519)
