The antero-lateral margins of the carapace have, behind the exorbital angles, seven large, curved, flattened teeth, almost of equal size. The front is bilobed and has a nearly straight margin. The chelipeds have the carpus armed with three spines on the internal margin, the proximal being the largest and the distal the smallest; the propodus has 4-5 short spines on the superior margin.
