Pseudoliomera helleri

(A. Milne Edwards, 1865)

Carapace transversely oval; surface convex, granulated lobules in median portion recognizable, but those in the lateral indistinct. 2M divided into two, the inner one fused with 1M. Front deflected downwards, divided into 2 lobes by a shallow V-shaped notch. Antero-lateral margin not distinctly divided into lobes.
Chelipeds symmetrical. Merus short, triquetrous. Carpus granulated on its dorsal and outer surfaces. Palm with outer surface granulated and inner surface smooth. Fingers short and stout, with obtuse teeth on cutting edges, a clump of setae on either side of the tooth. Ambulatory legs broad and depressed. Merus smoother on dorsal surface; carpus, propodus, and dactylus with coniform granules on their dorsal surface; dactylus tipped with cuticular claw.
First pleopod of the male slender and long, with distal end narrowed, spoon-shaped. Male abdomen narrow and long; third to fifth segments fused; the sixth segment about 1.5 times as broad as long. Telson triangular, with distal margin obtuse. Carapace length of the male 16.3 mm, breadth 24.2 mm. (Dai & Yang, 1991)
