Liomera boninensis

(Odhner, 1925)

Merus of ambulatory legs crested. Front a good deal produced anteriorly beyond the outline of carapace. Carapace and thoracic legs covered with fine granules and pits. Areolae of carapace well defined and swollen. Posterior two teeth of the antero-lateral borders somewhat salient. Wrist and palm of chelipeds crested along inner border. (T. Sakai, 1976)

Type locality: Ogasawara-shoto, Japan.
Range: Japan - Ogasawara-shoto and Sagami Bay (Odhner, 1925), between Ito and Hatsushima, and Shimoda (Sakai, 1939), Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b), north off Tsushima (Takeda, 1973), between Ito and Hatsushima, Simoda and Sagami Bay, Izu Peninsula, Kii Peninsula, Tosa Bay, and Ogasawara-shoto (Sakai, 1976a), Mage-jima, Kagoshima Prefecture (Takeda, 1977b), Shiono-misaki (Miyake, 1983), Manazuru, Sgami Bay, between Ito and Hatsushima, and Yoron-jima (Muraoka, 1998); East China Sea (Sakai, 1935, 1939, Takeda & Miyake, 1968c, 1972).
