Carapace not globose, relatively broad, its breadth/length ratio = 1.46. Regions defined and separated by narrow, deep furrows; grooves separating the antero-lateral lobes prolonged onto the ventral face. 3M incompletely separated. 2M divided into three longitudinal branches, the internal being separated, the external ones remaining fused at the base and forming a V. Carapace with granules covering entire surface except for grooves. Entire body thickly covered with a coat of soft hairs mixed with longish stiff hairs. Antero-lateral margins divided into four projecting lobes behind the exorbital angle and separated by broad and deep fissures. Front extremely sinuate and appearing divided into four lobules. External surface of palm smooth and naked on the inferior half; fingers chisel-shaped and noticeably crossing at the extremities; fixed finger with three strong cutting teeth on the proximal half.
