Carapace relatively broadened, the length/breadth ratio being 1.34, transverse-oval and evenly convex in both directions, somewhat depressed. Dorsal surface uniformly, thickly covered with numerous tiny granules, without large tubercles. Regions of carapace separated by shallow grooves and without convex areolae. Antero-lateral margins entire. Front with two median lobes separated by deep, narrow grooves. No process on each side of the first abdominal segment, which is only granulated. Thoracic sternum with large high tubercles. (Guinot 1998)

Range: Japan - Kii Minabe and Yoron-jima (Sakai, 1976a), Yoron-jima (Guinot, 1976), Kushimoto (Miyake, 1983), Miyako-jima, Okinawa-jima, and Shibushi Bay, Kagoshima Prefecture; Palau (Miyake, 1940, Takeda, 1973d); Singapore (Ng & Chia, 1995); Indonesia - Kafal, Misool Group (Guinot, 1976); Australia - Broome (Guinot, 1976); Solomon Islands - Ysabel Island (Guinot, 1976).
