Caphyra minabensis

Carapace smooth and glossy; epibranchial ridges indicated, frontals and mesogastrics obscure; front typically bilobed, median notch usually distinct, each of the principal lobes subdivided into two by a shallow indentation; two very sharp and forwardly directed antero-lateral teeth, behind the second the carapace is divergent and broad. Cheliped palm with two longitudinal carinae on upper surface. Fifth pair of legs curved back dorsally over the carapace. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Kii Minabe, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan.
Range: Japan - Kii Minabe (Sakai, 1983).
