Monotypic genus, generic description repeated:
Carapace roundish owing to the constrictions behind the antero-lateral borders, these last ones only with very small and low tubercles, postero-lateral borders without clypeiform expansions, with 3-4 triangular teeth. Merus of third maxillipeds not elongate or acute, never concealing the flagellum repose. Chelipeds exactly fitting in front of the pterygostomial and buccal regions, large cheliped in front of small, dactylus of latter with a long, curved basal tooth fitting into a cup-like depression of the fixed finger. Ambulatory legs gressorial. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: north of Admiralty Islands, Papua New Guinea, 1°54'S, 146°39'40"E, "Challenger" stn 219, 276 m.
Range: Japan - Tosa Bay and off Ashizuri-misaki (Sakai, 1976a), Taichi, Wakayama Pref. (Miyake, 1983); Taiwan; Philippines - north of Lubang Island (Serène & Vadon, 1981); South China Sea - Nansha Islands (Chen & Xu, 1991); Papua New Guinea - Admiralty Islands (Miers, 1886); 80-276 m.
