Cryptodromia nipponensis

Carapace smooth in female, slightly granular in male, wider than long, antero-lateral borders with three teeth, a curved shallow groove on each side of cardiac region. Front truncated, projecting horizontally. No epipod on cheliped. Cheliped carpus with two tubercles, chela compressed, palm with a basal tubercle. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Tanabe, Wakayama Prefecture, 190 m, south-east of Muroto-misaki, 169 m, south of Goto-retto, 194 m.
Range: Japan - Tanabe, south-east of Muroto-misaki, and Goto-retto (Yokoya, 1933).
