Genus Parapalicus

Carapace depressed, broader than long, granular, outline subcircular; frontal border cut into lobes. Antero-lateral angle of buccal frame with a long process visible in dorsal view as a little more protuberant lobe nearly at the inner side of the infra-innerorbital angle. Cornea globular, reniform, much wider than eye peduncle. Second pereiopods much slenderer than the following pairs; propodus and dactylus elongate and filiform on the second to fourth pereiopods; fifth pereiopods strongly reduced in size, slender, filiform, and dorsally positioned.
