Carapace broader than long, transversely oval. Dorsal surface convex, without distinct regions. Antero-lateral margins longer than postero-lateral, divided into four triangular teeth behind exorbital angles. Antennae with basal article broad and very short, not in contact with the front; orbital hiatus left open. Supra and infraorbital edges not at all in contact with each other. Front cut into two convex lobes. Chelipeds quite asymmetrical; merus short and triquetrous; outer surface of palm pitted; fingers shorter than propodus. Ambulatory legs furnished with setae.
