Genus Euryxanthops

Carapace transversely subovate, convex. Regions well defined. Surface naked and smooth to the naked eye. Antero-lateral margins divided into four lobes, extremely crested and upturned; the first low, broad and fused with the exorbital angle. Front produced beyond outline of the carapace, divided into two lobes by an obscure notch. Basal antennal article rather broad, inner angle touching ventral prolongation of the front. Chelipeds markedly unequal in both sexes; fingers acute. Ambulatory legs with the anterior border of merus, carpus and propodus sharply crested. (Guinot 1998)
