Anterior part of carapace ahead of orbits not produced laterally, flagellum of antenna usually visible dorsally; hepatic lobe laterally produced and expanded in both sexes and separated from a similarly expanded branchial lobe by a shallow concavity or closed fissure; carapace broader than long.
