Genus Chiromantes

Gistel, 1848

Side walls of carapace and pterygostomial region finely reticulated with intercrossing hairy lines. Antero-lateral margins toothed behind the exorbital angle, the tooth being sharp or blunt. Basal antennal article included in the orbit. Chelipeds: outer surface of palm with 2-3 transverse pectinated crests; dactylus with a longitudinal row of transverse tubercles on dorsal surface.
