Genus Pseudograpsus

H. Milne Edwards, 1837

Carapace subcircular. Dorsal surface convex; epigastric and protogastric cristae present. Antero-lateral margins long, arched, cut into teeth, flattish and separated by very narrow notches. Frontal margin with two lobes. Third maxillipeds not completely closing the buccal cavern; merus shorter than ischium, as long as broad and expanded at antero-external angle; palp articulating at the middle portion of the anterior border of the merus; exopodite narrower than the ischium. Chelipeds short. Ambulatory legs not natatory, tomentose on their margins, with propodi and dactyli not very compressed. (Guinot 1998)
