Carapace transversely oval in outline. Dorsal surface with the regions hardly indicated, smooth or granular. Antero-lateral margins strongly convex, not emarginated or sometimes more or less distinctly divided into four rounded lobes. Ambulatory legs subcylindrical and short, without a crest on the superior margin, that is sometimes sharp. (Guinot 1998)
