Antero-lateral margins of carapace cut into four large teeth and and 2-3 very small teeth. Posterior margin of carapace forming a curve with the postero-lateral margins. The four medial frontal teeth not very dissimilar to the lateral frontal teeth. Lobule at the external angle of the basal antennal article touching the front and completely excluding the flagellum from the orbital hiatus. Chelipeds without a spine on posterior border of merus. Carapace with four large antero-lateral teeth, and a small subsidiary tooth at base of first; basal antennal segment with a spine or spine-like granule. Six frontal teeth, laterals separated from sublaterals by a deep incision. (Davie 1999)
