Genus Pariphiculus

Alcock, 1896

Entire body covered with a soft tomentum. Carapace circular in outline. Dorsal surface with intestinal region isolated, circumferenced by a groove. Margins not expanded, marked with thirteen tubercles in all, without teeth. Buccal cavern narrowly triangular. Exopodite of third maxillipeds not broadened, with outer margin not arched. Chelipeds slender; palm short and extremely swollen in its proximal portion; fingers filiform and much longer than palm, their prehensile edges armed with needle-like teeth. (Guinot 1998)
