First male pleopod with chitinous apex distally strongly tapering, acuminate and strongly obliquely directed outward. Outside surface of palm of male with great number of regular tubercles; dactylar tubercles as irregularly distributed small acute granules. Lateral border of carapace slightly concave and strongly diverging posteriorly. Frontal breadth more than half exorbital breadth. Male abdomen with telson slightly inserted into distal border of segment 6, which has its antero-lateral border as an expanded rounded convexity; telson shorter than broad at base and length of segment 6, which is about 2.6 times as long as broad at base. Fourth pereiopod with merus 2.2 times as long as broad. (Davie 1997)
