Pilumnopeus makianus

(Rathbun, 1931)

Near Benthopanope indica but the carapace is somewhat flatter on posterior surface and less convex from side to side. The customary transverse ridges of dorsal surface are beaded with fine pearly granules. The anterior two of the antero-lateral teeth are broad and truncate on outer border, the third tooth also truncate but a little salient, the last one very small and acuminate. In both chelipeds, the wrist is sparingly granular; the outer surface of palm is thickly covered with fine granules but the surface near the lower border is generally smooth. (T. Sakai, 1939: 543)
