Actumnus setifer

(de Haan, 1833)

Carapace covered with a velvety coat of tomentum but usually not with longer hairs; the dorsal surface is extremely convex and the regions rather clearly defined. The frontal lobes are markedly deflexed, the antero-lateral borders are extremely arcuate and cut into four teeth, the tips of which are acuminate on denudation; the postero-lateral borders are extremely concave, in which concavity the last pair of ambulatory legs fit when retracted. Chelipeds are markedly unequal and covered with velvety tomentum, the wrist and palm are covered with beaded granules, the dispositions of which are irregular and not at all concealed by the tomentum. Merus, carpus and propodus are very broad and convex, the anterior and posterior borders being thickly fringed with hairs. (T. Sakai, 1939: 528)
