Lachnopodus subacutus

(Stimpson, 1858)

The anterior margin of the merus of the ambulatory legs is only furnished with granules or spinules. The antero-lateral margins of the carapace have, at most, two teeth, the two anterior being replaced by low lobes. The ambulatory legs have shorter and less numerous setae. The antero-lateral teeth T and S are feebly indicated and have the extremities rounded. The carapace and chelipeds are smooth. The breadth of the fronto-orbital region is equal to 2/5ths times the greatest breadth of the carapace. The abdomen of the male has the distal margin of the telson rounded. The ambulatory legs are smooth on their posterior margin. (Serène, 1984)
