Neoliomera insularis

(Adams & White, 1848)

Carapace transversely ovate, the dorsal surface almost smooth and the regions obliterated, although there are two indistinct shallow grooves each extending inward from the 2nd and 3rd antero-lateral notches. The frontal lobes are weakly sinuate, and have a lobular lateral angle, from which the supraorbital border is very faintly separated. Antero-lateral borders are crested as in the genus Atergatis, the crest being divided into four lobules by very obscure notches.
The chelipeds are equal, the arm is crested along the superior edge; wrist bears two obscure teeth at the inner angle and its outer surface very finely granular; the palm is weakly crested in proximal half of the superior border and its outer surface covered with vesiculous granules, having two longitudinal ridges of granules, one near the middle and the other immediately below it. Merus and propodus of the ambulatory legs are sharply crested on anterior border. (T. Sakai, 1939: 477)
