Daldorfia rathbuni

(de Man, 1902)

Species of a medium size. Carapace obtusely pentagonal in outline. Chelipeds are massive. Dorsal surface of carapace smooth and not markedly uneven, not eroded. The groove on either side of cardiac area posteriorly perfectly connected to form a semicircle. Anterior border of merus of ambulatory legs set with five or six T-shaped tubercles, the bars of the T perfectly continuous. (T. Sakai, 1976)

Type locality: Ternate, Indonesia.
Range: Japan - Kii Nagashima and Kii Minabe (Sakai, 1976a); Indonesia - Ternate; Hawaiian Islands - Auau Channel, Hilo and Oahu (Rathbun, 1906).
