Rathbun, 1916
The general aspect of carapace of this species approaches that of Parthenope pelagicus, but two branchial processes and one cardiac are much larger. The neck is much longer and the supraocular eaves are very thick; the surface of rostrum between the supraocular eaves is longitudinal furrowed, the anterior extremity of the rostrum being rounded and crenulated, deflexed at an angle of about 50 degrees.
Chelipeds are very long, more than thrice the length of carapace; the merus and propodus are provided with a series of larger lobate spines along anterior and posterior borders. (Sakai, 1976: 274)
