Rostrum triangular; rostral keel forming a distinct T-shape with rostrum rim in anterior view; carapace, with rostrum, tending to be pear-shaped; carapace width usually greater than carapace length; pterygostomial lobe not prominent; postero-lateral angles of carapace without a spine or tubercle; male abdomen very broad at base; male first pleopod with two groups of subterminal setae; 6mm; coral reef; Maldive Archipelago. Type locality: Minikoi and Malé Atoll, Maldives.
Range: Coëtivy Islands (Rathbun, 1911); Maldives - Mimikoi and Malé Atoll (Borradaile, 1903c); Japan - Oshima Passage, Amami-Oshima and Northern Iwo-jima (Takeda, 1989).
