Pterygostomial region canaliculated. Epibranchial spines short, less than 1/6 carapace width or represented by a tubercle. Rostrum exceeding peduncle segments of antenna; intestinal region with a low tubercle. First pleopod of adult male with two broad, blunt contiguous lobes; female genital openings subcircular and opening antero-laterally. (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a)
