Carapace with numerous spinules between the main spines, protogastric spines longest and emerging from a hump that bears a number of spinules, two gastric spines in a longitudinal line of which the anterior is clearly larger than the posterior, a pair of long and acute cardiac spines, intestinal spine unpaired and acute; preocular spinule quite long; supraorbital eave with an anterior spine; rostral spines short, not overreaching interantennular one. Antennal peduncle cylindrical, basal joint with a long subdistal spine bifid at tip and a subproximal triangular tooth. (Türkay 1995)

Cloates, west of Dirk Hartog Island, west of Bluff Pt., south-west of Dongara and Rottnest Island (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); 90-250 m.
