Carapace surface with a great number of densely set acuminate spinules and some clearly broader and longer spines; rostral spines long and proximally carrying spinules on all faces except the mesial one; interantennular spine only bifid at tip; antero-external corner of buccal cavern serrate, without a prominent spine. Eyestalks slender and with a few spinules. Basal antennal article armed with one distal spine and a row of spines along latero-ventral face. Chelipeds enlarged, length of palm equal to the postrostral carapace length, strongly spinous, fingers long and slender. Ambulatory legs densely beset with long spines with. (Türkay 1995)
