Surface of carapace with a few larger spines, not spinulous on posterior branchial regions; rostral spines short, about 1/4 postrostral carapace length, rostrum with accessory spines beyond the base; interantennular spine bifid at tip. Eyestalks slender and transversal rows of spines. Basal article of antenna with several spines of which the three on the outer border and the one at the antero-internal angle are prominent. Third maxilliped hairy and spinulated, merus produced at the antero-lateral angle. Chelipeds hairy and armed with numerous spines that are beaded to form some longitudinal series on merus and palm; four or five spines on the upper border and the distal part of merus are very prominent and slender. Ambulatory legs armed with spines and spinules and covered with straight and curled hairs, fringes of the long stout hairs are very prominent. (Türkay 1995)
