Carapace covered by close set spinules except anteriorly, a metagastric tubercle or spine and a transverse cardiac pair of tubercles present, postorbital region very short, hepatic region weakly or moderately produced and broad, laterally truncate or with blunt lobes; supraorbital eave with close set spinules along outer margins; rostral lobes moderately broad at base, well separated from base, subacute at tip. Eyestalk with a row of three to four spines anteriorly. Basal antennal article with a strong antero-lateral spine as well as spinules on lateral and medial edges. Ischium of third maxillipeds with a longitudinal row of spinules on each side of the longitudinal central groove; merus with long spines along the medial edge. Male chelipeds slender; merus with a row of long spines dorsally and ventrally; carpus with only a few spinules; palm spinulous on dorsal and ventral margins; fingers slender, weakly incurved distally, and narrowly gaping. Dactyl of second ambulatory leg broadest subterminally. (Türkay 1995)
