Achaeus akanensis

Sakai, 1938

Surface of carapace with one suprahepatic, one gastric, one branchial and a pair of cardiac spines; postorbital neck short, carapace widening immediately behind supraorbital eave, this last one with one large spine, hepatic region strongly produced, its margin with one anterior spine and one at apex. Eyestalk with a narrow process on the anterior surface at distal third. Basal antennal article with one distal spine, otherwise with two spinules. Third maxilliped with rows of spines on ischium and merus. Chela with a row of spinules along upper and lower border, outer face of palm smooth. (Türkay 1995)
