Arcania elongata

Yokoya, 1933

Near Arcania undecimspinosa. Carapace oval, distinctly longer than broad; surface with high tubercular granules. Two spinular tubercles on the antero-lateral margin very small. Colour in spirit grey. In other respects it agrees with the typical form. (Yokoya, 1933)

Type locality: Suruga Bay and Mimase, Kochi Prefecture, Japan, not appointed by Yokoya.
Range: Japan - Suruga Bay and Mimase (Yokoya, 1933), Tosa Bay and Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1937a), Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b), Sagami Bay, Suruga Bay, Mikawa Bay, Tosa Bay, and near Ashizuri-zaki (Sakai, 1976a), off Kochi (Miyake, 1983), Mikawa Isshiki, Minabe, and Tosa Bay (Muraoka, 1998); Taiwan - Tachi and Nanfangau, I-Lan County, Tungkang, P'ing-tung County, and P'eng-hu Island (Ng & Huang, 1997); China - Guangdong including Hainan Island (Dai & Yang, 1991); Philippines (Galil, 2001a); New Caledonia (Galil, 2001a); Australia - (Galil, 2001a); southern Queensland (Campbell, 1971).
